Our experiences in concentrated form – this is how we can describe our training courses on the subject of bus systems in a nutshell. Since our daily work involves troubleshooting fieldbuses and Ethernet-based bus systems such as AS-i, CAN, Profibus, Profibus-PA, Profinet, EthernetIP, we regularly gain new experiences and problem cases. We prepare these for our training courses and include real mistakes in the practical exercises. The participants then have the opportunity to gain their own experience and solve problems independently. Request now Overview of training courses We offer you the possibility to conduct training at your site or to participate in a training at our company. Below you will find the different training courses. AS-Interface training courses AS-Interface is actually an unproblematic fieldbus system. The influences that can nevertheless lead to a failure will be discussed in one day. Diagnostic tools with advantages and disadvantages as well as the expected EMC problems will be presented CAN training courses The possibilities for error during device development are particularly pronounced with the CAN bus. For this reason, possible interferences should already be recognized and avoided by the plant and equipment manufacturer during the design phase. In our CAN training exactly these weak points are described and communicated. EMC training courses After this day, you will see your plant and equipment with different eyes. You will learn that you can see EMC. Based on personal experiences, you will be guided through the different areas of EMC. The training content is rich with examples that you can apply to your plant and equipment at the end of the day. EMC workshop In this workshop you will learn to consider the grounding concepts of networks and fieldbus systems from an EMC point of view. You will be able to use the measures learned to maintain or restore the performance of your fieldbus systems and thus avoid unforeseeable faults. Profibus training courses I know Profibus! The participants in our Profibus training course learn that Profibus is more than a few settings in the hardware configuration and the correct setting of the slide switches at the connectors. Even if 5 days seem long at first, after all it is only about two wires and a shield, the participants will not get bored. As with all our training courses, the topic of EMC is not neglected. Wireshark training courses Many problems can be detected with the free software tool “Wireshark.” Since at first glance the amount of data is almost endless, this course teaches how best to go on the search. It is not only about Profinet, but also about other Ethernet-based bus systems. Range of Profinet training courses 1-day training course "Profinet Starter" For all those who do not know how to get started, the 1-day course has been compiled. In this course you will get concentrated knowledge about the basic principles and parameters of Profinet. Afterwards you should be able to check your system configuration and discover possible weak points. You can then decide which measuring equipment should be used and obtain further information about it. 2-day "Certified Profinet Installer" (CPNI) training course The CPNI training is certified by the PNO (German Profibus User Organization) and ends with an exam. If you pass the exam, you will receive a certificate and will be listed as “Certified Profinet Installer” on the PNO homepage. Besides the basics of Profinet, special attention is paid to cable assembly. 3-day training course "Profinet Troubleshooter" You have already had first (bad) experiences with Profinet or you want to get to know the sticking points beforehand. You may also want to approach troubleshooting with different measuring devices. Then you should register for this course. PROFINET workshop The goal of this workshop is to work with you to develop sensible tests and test criteria for PROFINET: “How will we test and accept PROFINET in the future? What do we have to pay attention to, how do we check our own measurement results? Should we train personnel or hire an external service provider? What loan equipment is available for PROFINET acceptance testing?” Proactive maintenance of fieldbus systems workshop How can you prevent sudden fieldbus downtimes? What does a downtime of your plant and equipment cost you? Per failure or calculated over the year? The P-QT 10 Profibus tester with horn costs you just 470 euros and makes bus faults audible – long before your plant stops. The diagnostic module registers error telegrams and diagnostic messages and signals them via an alarm contact connected to a horn. Different modules are available for Profibus, CAN, AS-Interface and ESD detection. Fieldbus technology Overview on our fieldbus technology offer Go back Would you like to stay informed? show pageContents Electronics technician - Energy and building services technology (m/f/d) Electronics technicians specializing in energy and building services technology plan the electrotechnical systems of buildings as well as their energy supply and infrastructure. They install and commission the systems and maintain or repair them as required. Vacancies Work areas – what current trainees have to say You can work in many different areas at Leadec and choose your specialization according to your interests and skills. To give you a small glimpse of the possibilities, we have asked three of our trainees to describe their activities. Safety engineering “In the field of safety engineering, we are responsible for maintenance work and troubleshooting. I find it exciting to come across a fault that no one has ever seen before and having to find out what caused it. It could be, for example, that a wire break has occurred because a tradesman from another company had to assemble something and caught our detector or wire in the process. When our system then reports a wire break, we look on site in the production facility to see which wire is affected and repair the damage. Working in safety engineering means having a lot of responsibility. You have to understand electrical engineering and be able to figure out solutions.” Ivan, 3rd year of training Control cabinet fabrication “In the Leadec workshop, we build large control cabinets for our customers. This sometimes means working with 2-3 people on one control cabinet because the control cabinets are very complex. There are new requirements for each project. The project always begins with the order that is received by our head of department. We discuss the order within the team, plan the execution and prepare the parts. It’s then time to build the control cabinet, which means attaching fuses and control systems, doing the wiring and testing. This requires manual dexterity and care because every detail is crucial. At Leadec, all apprentices are assigned to a qualified coworker who they work with at all times and can ask anything. Without control cabinets, nothing would be supplied with electricity. With our work, we are therefore laying an important foundation for our customers.” Gregor, 3rd year of training Installation “Even though I haven’t been with the company for long, I have already worked in a wide variety of locations. We work in offices, at small and large companies – one day we might be working on the roof and another day, in the cellar. There, we install lamps, lights and sockets, lay and connect cables or attach new brackets, for example. You learn most quickly if you can try things yourself. At Leadec, I can be on site from the very beginning and I am shown how everything at the construction site works. My colleagues are happy to help me when I don’t know exactly how something works or if I want to know something.” Leon, 1st year of training Good combination of theory and practice “I can definitely apply everything I learn in the vocational school in my training. Measurements, for example, are an important part of electrical engineering but even if colleagues explain something to you in your first year of training, you may not understand it as well as you would like to. But if you then have it explained to you at school and at work, you will quickly get the hang of it. I sometimes have a real sense of accomplishment when I learn something new in school that I can then implement at work and see that it works.” Ivan, 3rd year of training Your tasks In the training, you will learn how to design and plan electrotechnical systems for energy supply and building services technology according to customer requirements You will install and commission systems and components, and inspect and maintain electrical systems, equipment and safety devices You will learn to independently analyze faults and fix errors You will install receiver and communication systems and data networks You will teach customers the correct use of systems, offer advice and support, provide services You will have the opportunity to document the work carried out and assist with billing Requirements Mittlere Reife (general certificate of secondary education) Interest in technical processes Logical thinking Good proficiency in mathematics and physics Open and friendly towards other people Careful way of working Standard training period: 3.5 years What we offer You will receive practical training in a company with many years of experience in vocational training and will have a permanent contact person throughout the training period The security of a large, globally operating company with high standards of occupational safety Attractive vocational training pay in line with the collective agreement “Me@Leadec” makes our benefits accessible to you, e. g. numerous employee benefits, including local health and sports offers; an annual budget for trainee events; bonus for completing the training with good results; provision of workwear and training materials; job ticket etc. Easy access to company information and news via our “we.do” employee app Professional development opportunities Bachelor Professional in Electrical Technology and Management (CCI) (m/f/d) Electrical engineering technician (m/f/d) Specialization in core areas Open positions Learn more about Leadec We are versatile, offer plenty of variety and have our finger on the pulse. show pageReferences As a service champion, we are passionate about our customers. Our goal is to create a leading edge for them. A unique combination of customized services and highly qualified teams makes us the preferred partner of the manufacturing industries all over the world. With the following references, you can get a small overview of our wide range of services. Planning Production planning for van production This project began as a blank slate; however, after just three years, the first van was finally finished and out of production. This was an important moment for the 25 Leadec employees who had been apart of this project from the start. When planning and setting up for an automobile factory, our employees work tirelessly and effectively to make sure the customer is satisfied. For this specific company, we supported them with services such as the specification of workstations, the simulation of assembly processes, material flow planning, as well as the system design for vehicle assembly and the end-of-line sector. Maintenance Leadec’s presence in the aircraft industry The aerospace industry faces demanding challenges every day and yet it is one of the most advanced industries in the world. To cope with these challenges reliably and successfully, the manufacturer needs a strong industrial service provider who takes the load off them. The aircraft industry is an essential aspect of Leadec. For one specific aerospace manufacturer, we have supplied services for many years including, production equipment maintenance, technical support, and recruitment services. Relocation Dis- and reassemby of a plant Our employees are both dedicated and experienced, which shines through in the disassembling and reassembling of plants and factories under tough circumstances. One automotive company, based in India, contracted us to dismantle a massive plant. We had to package approximately 400 tons of valuable equipment securely and then transport it to the new location. Our employees had to transfer 51 trucks over a 2,000 km distance, through the hilly Indian landscape during monsoon season. The equipment and the Leadec employees arrived safely and in perfect condition. Upon arrival, our employees rebuilt the production lines at the new site. This project displays our commitment to our customers, for neither monsoon nor mountains, can stop us from making our customers satisfied. Plant Maintenance Services for white good manufacturers The white goods industry relies on introducing new products in order to create substantial added value for the consumer. To continue this growth and innovation, companies hand over responsibility for their industrial services to us here at Leadec. This allows them to focus on revolutionizing the industry while knowing that their factories are in good hands. In the USA, we help a household appliance manufacturer oversee plant maintenance. With our hardworking, skilled employees, we are able to shorten planned project times, while effectively getting the job done. Digitalization Digitalization for a food packaging and processing company An attribute that makes Leadec unique is our focus on digitalization. While working for our customers, we aim to extend our expertise in this area and help them reach beyond what their systems can do. One example can be seen in our work for a large food packaging and processing company in Brazil. Here, we helped digitize their Technical Facility Management (TFM) and Technical Cleaning (TC) processes by implementing our state-of-the-art communication platform, Leadec.os. We use this system to digitally map all processes related to our services. Leadec.os can be used via mobile devices at each spot on site, which ultimately allows for reduced processing time and overall improved productivity. Optimization Optimization of maintenance at a chemical company One of our clients in Mexico is a large chemical production company. We support the production through services such as preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of the plant and the equipment, as well as checking and optimizing the complete maintenance system. At Leadec, we consistently focus on the digitalization of our processes and services, which includes automating the previously manual processes. Additionally, we supply services in the maintenance of system control, overseeing the air conditioning and ventilation systems, and welding work. Relocation Relocation for a heavy machinery manufacturer One of the most impressive Leadec projects in the relocation segment was the transportation of test cells from Tennessee to São Paulo. This 8,000 km (roughly 5,000 miles) daunting journey proved to be no problem for our dedicated team. We successfully dismantled the test cells in Tennessee and then transported them to Brazil in merely four months. This project showed how we work between the Leadec regions smoothly and successfully while displaying our capability to be a true one-stop solution for customers around the world. Development Robot cells for sports cars The automobile industry is constantly evolving and in order to embrace this, we strive to be open and responsive to new technologies. A German sports car manufacturer commissioned us to develop a technology that would help create a more effective manufacturing process. In response, our engineers created a state-of-the-art robot cell. This Leadec project consisted of the design of the system, the robot programming, and finally the integration of this new manufacturing technology into the existing system. Long-term cooperation 50 years for a major automobile manufacturer We at Leadec believe that long-term cooperation with our customers is crucial. For one global, German automobile manufacturer, we have provided services for more than 50 years and in all of the Leadec regions. We focus on technical cleaning, maintenance, logistics, and building services for this company. Through our reliable work and successful performance, this automobile company has gradually expanded our services worldwide, and thus increased our global footprint. Building services maintenance Building services maintenance at a central warehouse Leadec is responsible for the maintenance of all building services systems at a central warehouse of a large German supermarket chain. The data of approx. 2,500 systems were captured and evaluated. The well-founded recording system was the basis for the fast implementation of our innovative service control system, Leadec.os. Leadec uses this system to digitally map all processes related to its services and thus offers a high degree of transparency. It is extremely important for the customer that all systems are reliably maintained and malfunctions are eliminated as quickly as possible to ensure that delivery to the supermarkets is not interrupted. Almost all over Germany, the central warehouse supplies its stores with dry goods. Learn more about our services Want to learn more? Ask us. Please send us a message.
