Warehouse logistics specialists receive goods, check them and store them correctly. They put together deliveries and route plans, load and dispatch goods. They also help with the optimization of logistical processes.

In the training, you will learn:

How to check accompanying documents for accuracy and completeness in accordance with operational guidelines and taking into consideration customs and hazardous substances regulations
Which standards, dimensions and units of quantity and weight need to be complied with
How to store goods in accordance with storage guidelines
How to handle dangerous goods, hazardous substances, dutiable goods, perishable goods in compliance with labels and symbols
Which transport packaging and filling materials to choose according to type of goods, type of transport, environmental compatibility and cost-effectiveness
How to load and stow shipments according to the properties of the goods and means of transport
How to retain the quality and value of goods during their time in storage
How to prepare loading lists and loading charts in compliance with loading regulations
How to prepare dispatch papers and accompanying documents and comply with foreign trade regulations

Requirements

Hauptschulabschluss or Mittlere Reife (lower secondary general education certificate or general certificate of secondary education)
Good grades in mathematics
Good customer service and communication skills
Open and friendly towards other people
