Metal technology specialist – Construction engineering (m/f/d)

• You will plan work steps on the basis of technical documents, specify machining processes, choose tools and machines
• You will learn how to manufacture and assemble metal structures out of sheet metal, pipes and profiles
• You will have the opportunity to apply and test preservatives, corrosion inhibitors, coatings and insulating materials in compliance with processing regulations
• You will learn how to use the transportation equipment, slings and hoists to transport metal parts and how to store and secure transported goods
• You will independently diagnose, determine the causes and fix errors in the production process and replace wear parts or arrange for them to be replaced
• You will learn how to ensure machine tools and tools are ready for operation, how to carry out servicing and maintenance tasks on the production facilities and arrange for repairs where necessary
• You will be taught the regulations and safety rules relating to working with electrical systems, devices and equipment
• You will independently inspect work results, e.g. conduct visual inspections of welded and soldered joints

• Mittlere Reife (general certificate of secondary education) would be an advantage
• Interest in technical processes
• Logical thinking
• Good proficiency in mathematics and physics
• Open and friendly towards other people
• Careful way of working
