Cutting machine operator (m/f/d)

As a cutting machine operator, you use machining processes such as turning, milling, drilling or grinding to fabricate precision components, usually from metal. You will generally work with CNC machine tools or machining systems. You will set these up and monitor the machining processes.

Your tasks

You will interpret technical documents and calculate any missing data
You will learn how to produce technical drawings and 3D models with the help of CAD software
Your area of responsibility will also include choosing tools such as turning tools, milling cutters and drills, and checking them for sharpness, shape and dimensions
You will commission machines and monitor production processes
You will independently perform intermediate measurements on the workpieces using calipers, micrometers, surface measuring instruments and other test equipment
You will learn how to inspect operating facilities, disassemble components where necessary, replace defective or wear parts and test functions in accordance with inspection or maintenance plans
You will independently order or manufacture replacement parts, increasingly by means of additive manufacturing processes (3D printing)
You will be responsible for replacing defective parts and performing functional tests

Requirements

Mittlere Reife (general certificate of secondary education)
Interest in technical processes
Logical thinking
Good proficiency in mathematics and physics
Open and friendly towards other people
Careful way of working
